Therapy
Have you been wondering how therapy might support you?
People may seek therapy for various non-clinical reasons that still profoundly impact their emotional well-being and personal growth. Some examples include:
•Self-exploration and personal growth: Understanding oneself better, exploring identity, or working on self-confidence.
•Life transitions: Navigating major changes like marriage, divorce, motherhood, career shifts, becoming an empty nester, death of a loved one, critical illness diagnosis, or family incarceration.
•Work-life balance: Managing the pressures of school, career, family, and personal time without burning out.
•Relationship challenges: Addressing struggles in romantic relationships, friendships, or family dynamics.
•Parenting support: Finding guidance on how to navigate parenthood, co-parenting, or dealing with parenting stress.
•Grief and loss: Coping with the death of a loved one, miscarriages, or other forms of loss that might not meet clinical criteria for depression.
•Confidence and empowerment: Building self-esteem, overcoming self-doubt, or finding a stronger voice in personal or professional settings.
•Setting boundaries: Learning how to say no, stand up for oneself, or prevent people-pleasing.
•Healing from past experiences: Processing difficult experiences like breakups, family conflict, or feeling unsupported (even if it doesn’t meet the criteria for trauma).
•Cultural or identity struggles: Exploring bicultural identities, handling societal expectations, or navigating gender roles.
